Announcements From The Board
Hello, neighbors of Carriage Hills! We hope that you have thoroughly enjoyed your summer!
Owner Contact Information
The Board asks that you PLEASE ensure you maintain a CURRENT owner name, mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number, with the Secretary, as well as directing any future buyer of your home to provide the same information.
Additionally, the Board kindly requests that you ALSO provide the phone number and email of any tenant you may be renting your home to. This information helps ensure that all important communications reach you and/or your tenant, especially in the event of any emergency situation occurring.
Property Upkeep
The Board strives to levy minimal enforcement action against homes in violation of the Covenants & Bylaws.
To achieve this requires Owners ensuring that minimum standards of property maintenance are upheld. The entire community benefits from higher property values and a more aesthetically pleasing neighborhood when properties are properly upkept. The Board recommends using a commercial lawn care service if you are struggling to find time to keep up with lawn care. Performing weed treatment of your yard can help extend the time necessary between cuts.
Recommendations for such services can be found on the resources page. If you should decide to rent your home the Board reminds you that you could be held liable for any issues arising from your tenant(s), such as failing to upkeep your property. To avoid this, the Board suggests building the cost of commercial lawn care service into rent charges.
Additionally, if you may be in need of one-time help then Scouts may be able to help you out, to build service hours! Reach out to the Board President for details.
Neighborhood Watch & Looking Out For Your Neighbors
The Board is looking to open dialog with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office to re-establish the Neighborhood Watch program in our neighborhood. If you might be interested in being a part of the dialog, or potentially receiving training, then please reach out the Secretary at [email protected] with an email subject of “Neighborhood Watch.”
In the interim we ask that you lookout for your neighbors and notify CCSO if you should observe anything suspicious taking place within the neighborhood. Additional, we would like to remind you that you can notify CCSO prior to any extended time out of town, and they may be able to watch over your property for you.
Board Elections
We encourage all Owners to get involved in running your neighborhood! If you think you might like to serve on the Board, serving as a Member-at-Large is a great way to get your feet wet!
Quarterly Board Meetings
All Owners are reminded that, per Association By-Laws, you are permitted to attend quarterly meetings of the Board, if you desire to. You can be put on the list for an invitation by emailing the Secretary.
